NEW YORK CITY REALLY HAS IT ALL, OH YEAH!

On November 25th, 1997 I went to New York City with my dad to meet the Ramones at their box set signing at Tower Records. We got there over an hour early, but already there was a long line of people outside the store. We waited and waited, and finally at 5:00 p.m. it started. However, we still had to wait outside for a long time because there was such a long line. Finally, we made it inside, where the line was still very long. The new Ramones video and CD from the box set were playing in the store to entertain everyone as they waited.

After waiting for a total of almost three hours (since we arrived outside the store), it was finally my turn to meet the Ramones!! Johnny, C.J., Joey, Tommy, Marky, and Dee Dee were all there, so the only Ramone I didn't get to meet was Richie. C.J. actually remembered me from my e-mails, so that was cool. They all signed my box set and my Ramones book, and I even got extra Dee Dee autographs! After they finished signing my stuff, I hung around and talked to them for a long time, especially Dee Dee. I got some good pictures, too. They were really nice. It was the best day of my life! I wanted to stay there until it was over, but I finally had to leave. Joey and Dee Dee waved to me when I left. It was a super time, and well worth the long wait to meet the best band ever!

While we were in New York, my dad and I also went to CBGB's (it was closed but we went inside anyway), the Hard Rock Cafe, more record stores, and other cool places. Furthermore, it was my first time in New York, so that made the trip especially fun!
